Sister's Cancer Part #11 Bad Day
Really bad day today. Her stomach tube is infected, she was "out of it" really bad, talking oout of her head and crying over the tiniest thing. She resembles herself B.C. (befire cancer), momentarily. Sunny, my sister, has actually become someone else. The transport to do a proceedure never happened, but they moved her to a non=private room. She is so unhappy to do this, as her privcy is diminished. She did a little PT today...

Sister's Cancer / Part #10A/ More complications
I ended up not being able to see her today. Partly because she was going to be transported off property for a test and having a nasal tube inserted at the hospital. She has developed a possible bowel blockage and "something" in her stomach and an allergic reaction to "something" causing blistering on her body. The other part was because it was too cold for me to go out, in the power chair, and we...

I am attempting to count my calories, and burn more calories than I'm consuming, in order to work off some lbs. Do I count the calories of all foods, or do I not include the calories I consume as fruits and vegetables? Also, If I am burning more calories than I'm eating, just by the calories I'm burning on my treadmil is that suficient enough? Does there have to be a significantly higher number of...

The Power of Commitment ...
Commitment starts with desire. You have a want or need -- something physical perhaps, or emotional; even if you're not entirely clear on where it is your desire will lead, you recognize and desire a change. I liken desire that seems to align itself as recongnition that to obtain desired results change needs to occur soasnotto end up in the same place in the end - especialy when the end is not where you desired...

Sister's ancer Part #10
I'll be going to see her today. She has been removed from any attempts tro eat ... because it just was not working. So she iis back to only ice chips. She's really scared now. The mesothelioma, is NOT the kind you see on TV. Hers is a rarer form not caused by asbestos. I barely understans all the specifics, but it is caused fromo a different (slightly) cell, and the origion is not...

So here goes my very first blog. I find myself utterly depressed the past couple of days and wonder if i even have the right to be so. Lately i live on muscle relaxers and mild painkillers just to function. I used to be so active and worked most everyone i knew, under the table. Not sure if my depression is part of my disease or just an effect of it. Trouble is, i don't...

I give up. I'm sick of seeking help and being led into complete circles. Suicide prevention line gives out a local line, common grounds says that I have to go through my mental health coordinatior to get help, coordinator says that I have to pay out of pocket for counseling. That's it. I'm done. I can't take this anymore. I'm done asking for help. I'm done seeking help. I'm not updating this page anymore. ...

Update on heart transplant
I see that on March the 10th, Heart transplant patient Wanda will be on the Doctors again. I am wishing her all the best and hope it's all good news. Am wondering why the show Three Rivers, which was featured on The Doctors show was quietly taken off the air with no warning. I thought it was a great show. It was bringing attention to organ donation. The characters had potential to grow. Do any of...

Sister's Cancer Part #8 / Usually fatal
Sunny saw the dr. on friday and he told her that this cancer is usually fatal, regardless of treatment. If you think this sounds blunt or callous, I don't. I'd rather have honesty, that gives me time to plan. When she is gone, I will have half the income we've had together. As twins, we've lived together forever, and shared expenses, and both of us have horriific medical bills for our various illnesses. At least,...
